Karl Rathjen, M.D., is an assistant chief of staff at Scottish Rite for Children in Dallas and a professor of orthopedic surgery at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is an active member of numerous academic medical societies. He serves as the President of the Scottish Rite Hospital Foundation and has served in leadership positions with The Meadows Mental Health Policy Initiative, The Goodness Web, Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, Circle 10 Boy Scouts, Camp John Marc and Highland Park Presbyterian Church.

Carolyn Perot Rathjen is the Vice President/Executive Director of the Perot Foundation and serves as a director of the Petrus Trust Company. She is involved as a volunteer or board member in many non-profits in the Dallas area that serve a wide spectrum of community needs.
